MALANAD EDUCATIONAL & WELFARE ASSOCIATION shortly, famous as MEWA has reached its Silver Jubilee Year on 5th March as it was taken birth as a Socio-Cultural & Charitable Organisation in the Year 1996 with the collective interest of some similar minded individuals. The MEWA TRUST was registered in the Year 1997 on the same date with Regn.No. F/5365/THN.
Being a primary step for a Dream Educational Institution with the desire of providing high quality education to the Children of financially & socially backward group of people, we have started the “VIDYANIKETAN ENGLISH SCHOOL” with 23 students in the Junior K.G. Class, inaugurated by the then Thane District Collector. Shri UJJWAL UKE on 19th June, 1996.
Gradually it has grown in strength and our First S.S.C. Batch in 2007 achieved 100% result and continues to achieve 100% in all subsequent batches.
We have a great dream still – to obtain larger space for the further development to upgrade to the College level with the wholehearted support and help of philanthropists and good Samaritans. We do believe that we could achieve more with the determined steps forward with humble prayers and positive thoughts.
